The Uptown Optimist Club just celebrated it's 55th Anniversary on September 1st, 2007. The Uptown Optimist Club was Chartered (created) on September 1, 1952 by the Tucson Optimist Club. The club was the second Optimist club started in Tucson Arizona. To commemorate our club's new charter, a Club Bell was presented to our club by “The Optimist Club of Tucson,” it is dated Sept. 8, 1952. Over the years this bell disappeared only to resurface recently. Read the story of the bell's recent rediscovery on the Fundraising Page
