Welcome to the Uptown Optimist Website. This is where you can find all the latest happenings of our club as well as information on what it means to be a Optimist. At the right is our Arizona District's Logo which is our motto;
" Bringing in Out The Best in Kids ", this is our purpose as a service orgainization, to help the underpriviledged kids who need a little help to succeed . We also have our older motto," Friend of Youth"

We sponser several contests for young aspirering students these include the
"Oratorical Contest" and the " Essay Contest", for more information on these contests visit the Youth Programs page for complete details. We also are a sponsor of Optimist International's "Youth Appreciation Week" which honors students who have turned their lives around in spite or severe adversity and discipline problems.

We also sponser the "Soap Box Derby" and have a annual "Christmas Party" for about 150 kids from economically disadvantaged areas of Tucson

Overall the Uptown Optimist Club raises a minimum of $25,000 to $30,000 year and puts back all of the donations into to the community each year and has consistantly raised these funds for the past 20 years.
